Airstar International Mongoose

The Airstar Mongoose comes with all CNC machined metal parts. The main rotor head and the tail rotor are CNC machined including aluminum blade grips. A two-stage gearbox delivers smoother power and reduces wear. The tail is belt driven and the helicopter is powered by a Zenoah G230RC gas engine. Due to the much longer flight times of the gas engine compared to Nitro (20+ minutes vs. 8mins) it is much easier to run the battery down. On my Mongoose I have an on board generator that is driven by the engine and powers the helicopter. A small nimh battery acts as a backup in case the generator fails.
